Split Clues

Rules

One player receives Across, the other receives Down, and both fill one shared private crossword.

  1. Divide the clues

    The host receives Across and the guest receives Down.

  2. Keep your direction

    Each player sees only the clue text assigned to them.

  3. Share the grid

    Both players fill the same crossword and see every entered letter.

  4. Meet at crossings

    A crossing belongs to both directions and either player may edit it.

  5. Use help fairly

    Check applies to your clues, and Reveal applies only to your active clue after confirmation.

  6. Complete together

    The server confirms the full shared crossword before the room is complete.

  7. Swap for a rematch

    A rematch keeps both players in the room and swaps Across and Down.
