About

About Two Player Crossword

A calm, original browser crossword that starts solo and becomes a private two-person solve with one invite link. The invited player needs no install and no account.

Why this product exists

Most crossword sites are built around solo archives or public competition. Two Player Crossword focuses on the simpler job of opening a playable grid, inviting one person, and solving the same clues together without setup.

Original puzzles and accountable review

The crosswords are created for this product; we do not import or reproduce newspaper puzzles. Software assists construction and validation, while publication depends on recorded editorial evidence. A full catalogue audit on 9 August 2026 retired generated puzzles with unreliable clue semantics. A follow-on agent editorial pass checked every unique clue-and-answer pair in the direct-clued pool, corrected 101 clue occurrences, and retired 11 more puzzles with unsuitable fill. Random play now has 323 Mini, 228 Midi, and 125 Maxi puzzles; Daily remains a separately gated pool of 123 Mini, 29 Midi, and 27 Maxi puzzles. Read the full Puzzle Standards.

Private rooms by default

Shared games happen in private rooms rather than public profiles, feeds, or comments. The focus stays on the crossword and the two people solving it.

Corrections and accessibility

Puzzle quality and accessible play are ongoing responsibilities. The Contact page explains how to report a clue, gameplay issue, or accessibility barrier using only a safe public puzzle ID and never a private room link or entered letters.

Who runs the site
